Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport – Arusha

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, you will be welcomed by our transfer driver and taken to the Tulia Hotel and Spa in Arusha. The rest of the day will be at leisure and you can either relax at the hotel. Bed and Breakfast included

Day 2: Arusha – Machame Gate (1,790 m) – Machame Camp (3,010 m)

Stop At: Mount Kilimanjaro, Kilimanjaro National Park 00255 Tanzania
After breakfast you will be picked up at the lodge and taken to the entrance gate of Kilimanjaro National Park. While your guide is busy with the registration forms, you can watch the mountain team prepare for the climb and once this is all done, your Kilimanjaro adventure will begin. You will hear and with a little luck, even spot the beautiful black and white colobus monkeys in the treetops. After 5 to 6 hours, you will reach today’s destination – the Machame Camp which is situated just above the tree line. Here, at the base of Mt Kilimanjaro, you will have your first dinner followed by an overnight stay in tents. Breakfast; Lunch; Dinner included

Day 3: Machame Camp (3,010 m) – New Shira Camp (3,845 m)

After an early morning start, the path steepens. The landscape changes into heath and moorland and the open landscape allows you to see the impressive mountain range. Today’s stage is shorter than the previous day and you will arrive at the New Shira Camp by mid-afternoon. The camp has a breath-taking view of the mountain and during sunset, the evening sun lights the rock face and glacier of Kibo.

Day 4: New Shira Camp (3,845 m) – Lava Tower (4,640 m) – Barranco Camp (3,960 m)

Today you will climb about 800 m but you will be camping at an elevation only slightly higher than the previous night. This will allow your body to acclimatise as a height of over 4,500 m will be reached over the next two days. The trek begins with a long ascent above the Shira Plateau in the direction of the Lava Tower. The vegetation becomes sparser as the landscape changes to an afro-alpine desert. The route passes through the sweeping Barranco Valley with its lobelia and giant senecio plants. After 6 to 7 hours, you will arrive at the most beautiful camp on the mountain – the Barranco Camp. Today’s stretch starts with the climb of the Barranco Wall. Safety is paramount and your guides will assist you wherever necessary. Following the ridge as it traverses up and down, you can enjoy the splendid views of the south glacier of Kibo. Day 6: 6 Barafu Camp (4,640 m) – Uhuru Peak (5,895 m) – Mweka Camp (3,080 m)

After a cup of hot tea and a light snack, the climb begins at around midnight. By torchlight, you will climb the screes of Kibo. After 5 to 7 hours of ascending in the dark you will arrive at Stella Point (5,730 m), the crater rim of Mt Kilimanjaro. Another 1 to 2 hours climb along the crater ridge will lead you to Uhuru Peak. Here you will see Kilimanjaro in all its glory, enjoying the 360° view over the landscape below as the sun rises. You are now standing on the “Roof of Africa”. The simple descent runs almost along the same route and shortly before midday you should arrive at Barafu Camp, where the porters and the cook will be waiting for you. After a warm meal and a well-deserved break of approximately 1 to 2 hours, you will be on your way down to Mweka Camp where supper and a well-earned rest await you. Breakfast; Lunch; Dinner included

During the morning, you will be picked up at the Tulia hotel and Spa and taken to the Londorisi Gate -2250m. Here you will be registered by the national park authorities. Then you will drive about 15 km on a bumpy track that will take you into the dense rainforest to the drop-off point where your trek begins. You will follow a moderately steep track, which leads you through an amazing and unspoilt natural forest to the Big Tree Camp -2780m. This camp is about 2.5 hours away and it’s your destination for today. As this region is also home to wild game, you will be accompanied by an armed ranger during the first 2 days of your trek. Day 2: Big Tree Camp-2780m to Shira Camp 2 – 3900m

The long trek starts on a small trail that passes through the rainforest. As one climbs, the forest gradually thins out and the landscape changes into heath and moorland where plants like ericas and lobelia start to dominate the landscape. You will cross the Shira Ridge and after 4 to 5 hours of trekking, you will reach the Shira Camp 1. Here you will stop for lunch, relax a bit and enjoy the fantastic views of Mt Meru and the Rift Valley. For the last part of the climb about 3 hours, you will climb another 400 m in altitude. Climb today is about 740m but you will spend the night at an elevation only slightly higher than the previous night. This will allow your body to acclimatize, as a height of over 4600m will be reached before descending again. In doing so, you will be able to see how your body reacts to such an altitude. The trek begins with a long ascent above the Shira Plateau in the direction of the Lava Tower 4640m. The vegetation becomes sparser as the landscape changes to alpine desert. The climb passes through the wide Barranco Valley with its lobelia and giant senecio plants. After 6 to 7 hours’ walking, you will arrive at the Barranco Camp – perhaps the most beautiful camp on Kilimanjaro.

After reaching the top of Barranco Wall, you will walk along the mountain ridge. From here you will have fantastic views of the southern glacier of Kibo as well as of the Kibo summit. Early in the morning you will be taken to Londorisi Gate. Upon completion of all the entry formalities and a final 15 km drive on a bumpy road you will reach your starting point at the edge of the rainforest. You will enjoy lunch before you set out on the trail through the rainforest. Today’s walk is quite short, about 3 hours, compared to the days ahead, thus giving you time to enjoy the lush scenery which will drastically change over the course of your trek. You might even catch a glimpse of the thumbless colobus monkeys sitting in the branches above you. Your dinner and overnight awaits you at the beautiful Big Tree Camp 2780m.

Along the thin trail through the rainforest, you will notice the vegetation becoming scarcer and scarcer until you finally reach moorland filled with Lobelia and Eric plants. Ascending through rolling hills, you will reach Shira Camp 1 in about 3-4 hours. Looking over the Shira Plateau from your camp you will be able to see the unmistakable snow-capped summit of Kibo. A hearty evening meal and a last glimpse at the starry sky will bring the day to a close.

Today you will cross Shira Ridge with its rocky ground, low grasses and shrubs. As the terrain is much flatter than the day before, your hike will seem more leisurely and you will enjoy fantastic views of the Great Rift Valley and Mount Meru. Beautiful and distinctive Giant Lobelias still dot the moor landscape. Walking on ground where lava used to flow you will reach Shira Camp 2, where you will have your evening meal and overnight stay.

Day 4: Shira Camp 2 3900m – Lava Tower 4640m – Barranco Camp 3960m

Just after breakfast you will start your ascent to Lava Tower through a boulder-strewn terrain. In the distance you will see Kibo encouraging you to continue uphill. Reaching Lava Tower at an altitude of 4,640m, you will rest and allow your body to get used to the higher altitude, after which you continue downwards to Barranco Camp. This method of climbing high but sleeping low allows your body to acclimatize to the differing altitudes and gives you a good idea on how your body react to changes in Altitude. Along the way the scenery changes once more and soon you are surrounded by giant Senecias and smaller Lobelia plants. After 6 – 7 hours you will reach the beautiful and green Barranco Camp, which offers great views of the surrounding snow-capped mountains. After dinner you will settle in for the night.

Day 5: Barranco Camp 3960m – Karanga Camp 4035m

The well-known Barranco wall, which is probably the steepest part of the entire route, awaits you after breakfast. Although no technical climbing is necessary, some spots do require you to use your hands for a better grip and to pull yourself up. Your guide will be close by to help you if necessary. After you have pulled yourself around the Kissing Rock you will make your way along the mountain ridge and through the Karanga Valley. You will also pass the last water spot as you finally reach Karanga Camp after 3 – 4 hours. After a well-deserved meal, it is off to bed.

Today you will make your way to Barafu Camp at around 4640m, which you will reach in about 3 – 4 hour. The landscape is very dry and the ground cracks like glass under your boots. As you make your way through the afro-alpine dessert to the rocky Barafu Camp, a sense of excitement sweeps over you as your final stretch is but a few hours away. The Barafu Camp with its rocky scenery allows for a stunning view of Mawenzi Peak and the summit path ahead. After an early dinner and last minute preparation for tomorrow, you will go to bed.

You will ascend in a north-westerly direction through heavy scree toward Stella Point, arriving there in about 5 – 7 hours. At Stella Point you may rest if necessary before taking on another 1-2 hour stretch along the crater rim to Uhuru Peak – the highlight of your trip. A breath-taking view awaits you as you stand on the highest mountain in Africa. After taking as much pictures as your camera will allow, you will leave behind the glistening glaciers and snowy peak and make your way back down to Barafu Camp. Here you will have time to catch your breath before heading further down to Mweka Gate 3080m, an about 3 hour walk. A tempting dinner and a peaceful night’s sleep awaits you. After registration process, you will have full day game drive within the Park you will enjoy seeing flock of Birds,Herds of Elephants,Buffalo,Zebra,girrafe and more Wild Animals, and  if lucky you can see Lion And Leopard.

DAY 2. Full Day Game Drive Lake Manyara National Park.

After breakfast you will enter the Park for a full day Day Game Drive within Lake Manyara National Park where you will enjoy the view The Lake Manyara with a good looking of flamingos  both greater And lesser Flamingo.Also you enjoying seeing pelicans and other birds, Apart from lake you will also have a time to see The Great Eastern Rift Valley Wall,hot Spring and Wild Animals. Lunch boxes will be provided and at late evening you will exiting at Mto Wa Mbu town, around 1800 hrs

DAY3. Game Drive Ngorongoro Crater.

After breakfast at your hotel in Karatu town, your Safari driver-guide will be waiting  you ready to start a drive to Ngorongoro National Park. You will spend couple of minutes at Ngorongoro main entrance gate for some registration and payment process. After registration you will start Game Drive at rim of the Crater before down-sloping  to the Crater where you will discover the wonderful nature of creation. During afternoon hours you will have a lunch at picnic site nearby large hippo pool before continuing with game drive up to earlier evening where you will be exiting the park back to Arusha town.

The Rongai route ascents Kilimanjaro from the northeastern side of the mountain, along with the border between Tanzania and Kenya. This route retains a sense of unspoiled wilderness and offers a different perspective on Kilimanjaro by approaching it from the north. Experienced guides consider the Rongai route to be both easier and more scenic than the Marangu Trail. Summit attempts begin in the pre-dawn hours, with climbers usually reaching Gillman’s Point at sunrise. For those who feel strong enough, an approximately three hour round trip hike will take you from Gillman’s Point to Uhuru Peak.

Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport – Arusha

Day 1: Rongai Gate (1950m) – 1st Caves Camp (2600m)

Altitude; ↑650m

Hiking Time: 3-4 hours

Register at the Marangu park gate with a transfer about 2 hours to the Rongai trail head. The trail is not at all steep but is rather a gentle hike through beautiful country.

Day 2: 1st Cave (2600m) – Kikelewa Cave (3600m)

Altitude; ↑1000m

Hiking Time: 3-7 hours

Just early in the morning after a nice breakfast the trail continues up towards Kibo, passing Second Cave (3450m) and reaching Kikelewa Caveat about 3600 meters. The views start to open up and you begin to feel you’re on a really big mountain!. Overnight at 3rd Cave camp (Kikelewa Caves). Bed, dinner and breakfast includes

Day 3: Kikelewa Cave (3600) – Mawenzi Tarn camp (4330m)

Altitude; ↑730M

Hiking Time: 3-4 hours

A short but steep climb up grassy slopes offers superb views of this wilderness area. Lunch includes.

Day 4: Mawenzi Tarn to – Mawenzi Ridge – Mawenzi Tarn

This is an extra day meant for acclimatization and can be spent the day hiking on Mawenzi Ridge. The unique landscape offers motivating views of Kibo and Mawenzi. Dinner includes

Day 5: Mawenzi Tarn Camp (4330m) – Kibo hut (4700m)

Altitude; ↑370M

Hiking Time: 5-6 h

Continue ascending on the east side of Kibo crossing the saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo taking 4 to 5 hours to reach Kibo Hut. Overnight at Kibo Camp Dinner includes

Day 6: Kibo Hut (4700m) – Uhuru Peak (5895m) – Horombo hut (3720m)

Altitude; ↑1195m, ↓2175m

Hiking Time: 10-14 h

You will rise around 23h30, and after some tea and biscuits you shuffle off into the night. The first section of the trail consists of a rocky path to the Hans Meyer Cave (5150m), also a good resting spot. Breakfast includes.

Day 7: Horombo hut (3720m) – Marangu Gate (1980m)

Altitude; ↓1740m

Hiking Time: 5-7 hours

After breakfast you continue your descent (6 hours), passing the Mandara hut, down to the Marangu gate. It is strongly recommended not to pay your porters any tips until you and all your gear have reached the gate safely.  This is also where successful climbers receive their summit certificates.

Departure

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport or alternatively you can extend your trip and go on safari.
